Open Studio Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Two 60-minute blocks daily. Adults attend Movement/Discussion at 10 AM; Kids attend Creative Expression at 11 AM. Adults also have Creative Expression at 11 AM on Tue/Thu.

Creative Expression (Kids) — 11:00 AM–12:00 PM (Mon/Wed/Fri)

  • Imagine & Create (Mon): Kids design imaginary worlds and reveal the story behind their art.
    Builds: imagination, storytelling, confidence.
  • Art Lab: Experiment & Express (Wed): Try a new technique each week (e.g., tape-resist, sponge textures).
    Builds: curiosity, fine-motor skills, creative problem-solving.
  • Collaborative Creations (Fri): A group mural/collage displayed in our Studio Gallery.
    Builds: teamwork, pride, community.

Creative Expression (Adults) — 10:00 AM-11:00 AM (Tue/Thu)

  • Moodscapes (Tue): Paint abstract “emotional landscapes” using color and gesture as language.
    Benefits: stress reduction, self-awareness, calm focus.
  • Art of Storytelling: Visual Journals (Thu): Blend words and mixed media to tell your story—one page at a time.
    Benefits: reflection, identity, expressive outlet.

How Our Rotations Work

To keep sessions fresh and member-worthy, we rotate themes every 6 weeks (new prompts, music sets, art techniques, and display showcases). Members can comfortably repeat days while enjoying new experiences.

Accessibility & Adaptations

We accommodate varied abilities with seated options, pacing adjustments, and simple hand-over-hand art supports when needed. Let us know any goals or preferences at booking.

What to Expect

  • Small Groups: 6–10 participants for quality facilitation and connection.
  • All Materials Provided: Canvases, paints, journals, movement props, and more.
  • Therapeutic Recreation Approach: Sessions are designed and led by a CTRS to support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being.
  • Studio Gallery: Kids’ and adults’ artworks are periodically displayed (with permission).

Good to Know

  • Arrival: Doors open 10 minutes before each session.
  • Attire: Comfortable clothing; grip socks or sneakers for Movement & Wellness.
  • Cancellations: Please cancel 12 hours in advance so we can offer your seat to another member.
